Couple of weeks back I went to check out Inner City Dwellers at The Kingston Peel.
Turning up with more interest in getting pissed and without a clue what style of music I was about to endure I was pleasantly surprised by heavier instrumentals mixed with rap vocals.
For a while I have been wondering what path music was going to take in the future. Electro and remixes has been done to absolute sodding death of late. But this is it. The future of the music scene.
For a person with a very short attention span I stood mesmerised by their meaningful lyrics and amasing musical talent.
The headliner; Karl Phillips and The mid night Ramblers were also very very good. Despite not liking being compared with the likes of Mike Skinner or Plan B, the lead singers style is similar and he has a stage presence that make you want to listen to what hes saying.
For a night out to a venue purely because its two steps out my door I was very pleased indeed.
